Uncertain Times
Seems like everyday while organizing with clients, they share that the main reason for getting their home organized now is that it does, in fact, give them a real and reassuring sense of control in these uncertain economic times. And that, although there are many things out of our control at the moment, creating a home that is calming and supportive is at least one area they can control (and it happens to have many side benefits).

Things are stressful enough out there, your home doesn't need to contribute. We absolutely agree with our clients' sentiments: This is the perfect time to
organize your home. So keep the following in mind when starting the process: While things feel uncertain in the world, it may be tempting to hold onto things in your home even though they no longer suit your needs or fit your lifestyle. This can lead to clutter and chaos which will only make you feel worse. Hold on to only those things that contribute to the life you want. Don't keep things out of fear of loss. Now is the time to make some space. Create some room for the things (and people) you truly value.

A great place to start is your bedroom closet. Streamlining and organizing your closet and dresser drawers is one of the most rewarding organizing projects you can do. Why?

Three reasons:
1. It's a relatively small space that can be conquered in a short amount of time giving you a sense of accomplishment and control.
2 . It's easy, (and even fun) to put cute outfits together when you can see what you have.
3. Once you know what you have, you know what's missing. You will stop buying things you already have and can purchase items that are missing from your wardrobe.

Taking positive steps to regain some control in a real way helps us to deal with the stresses of uncertain times. Clutter is ultimately postponed decisions that weigh on our subconscious. Letting go of things we no longer need is liberating and creates some breathing space.
