Problem
The garage was crammed with odd shelving and cabinetry that had seen better days. There were several huge bins of camping gear that hadn’t been used in years as well as bike storage that took up too much room and was inconvenient for the client. The biggest issue was that our client had no
idea what was in the garage because nothing was sorted. It was just a jumbled mess. (It turns out she has 4 hammers) The goal was to create functional attractive storage that would allow room to park the SUV.

Solution
The garage contained many large, heavy items. We started the sorting process by moving all the sports
equipment and relatively smaller "keep" items into the next room in order to give us some space. We took "toss" items to the dump and donated all useable unneeded items to Salvation Army.
We were able to cut down the camping gear to less than half and removed a lot of inadequate shelving and storage. We had spent a day shopping for new storage cabinets to fit the needs of the client and
the space, and now that we had some room to build it, things began to take shape. We gave easily accessible homes to all tools, pantry items, sports equipment, and all her son’s fishing gear. The new cabinetry and shelving was able to house so many things which left
room for the bikes and even the SUV. The best part is that she knows exactly where her hammers and other tools are and won’t waste any more money at the hardware store.
